The Harami Pattern

The harami pattern is the opposite of the engulfing pattern, except that the candlesticks in the harami can be the same color, and is quite similar to the inside day pattern in OHLC charts. Like the engulfing pattern, the harami pattern consists of two candlesticks with the first candlestick being a large candlestick and the second being a relatively small candlestick. The name is derived from the Japanese word for pregnant, with the first candlestick seen as the "mother" with a large real body that completely enclosing or embodies the smaller second candlestick, creating the appearance of a pregnant mother. The second candlestick may appear to be a spinning top or a doji. When the second candlestick is a doji, the pattern is called a harami cross.

The color of the second candlestick is not important. More often than not the second candlestick will be the opposite color of the first candlestick> However, the location of the harami within an existing trend and the direction of that trend is important. The harami is a trend reversal pattern and must therefore appear in an existing trend but it should be seen in the context of the chart. Thus, if the harami appears at or near a support or resistance line, or a trend line, it becomes more significant. When the harami appears in an uptrend it is a bearish signal when it appears in a down trend it is a bullish signal. The appearance of the harami, and the short real body of the second candlestick, is a signal that indecision and uncertainty following a sudden surge in movement of the trend is causing the trend to lose momentum. In an uptrend, it means that buyers have failed to follow up on the surge of activity and close the second candlestick at or near the high of the previous candlestick. And in a down trend, it means that sellers have failed to close the second candlestick near the low of the previous candlestick. In both cases this weakness indicates that a trend reversal may be imminent.

Level 1- Unconscious Incompetence

Mencari broker dan mula membuka akaun, disinilah kamu bermula. Kamu menjadi trader kerana kamu mendengar bahawa pendapatan seorang trader boleh mengalahkan pendapatan seorang director. Lagi pula bila mana kamu mula bermain di akaun demo telah mendapat profit yang berganda-ganda, lalu apa susahnya?.

Kamu mungkin mendapat profit dengan hasil yang menakjubkan 100 pip sampai 200 pip per lot per hari, namun itu semua hanyalah beginner luck sahaja. kamu pada awalnya tidak akan percaya, dengan hanya menggunakan 1 indicator saja, atau dengan hanya membeli ebook atau pun robot dari internet atau dari individu-individu tertentu kamu berupaya mendapat profit.

Namun sayangnya, market akan mengalahkan kamu. Tidak ada trader yang sukses hanya dengan faktor LUCK. loss demi loss menghampiri kamu, kamu cuba bertahan namun kalau sampai margin habis, siapa yang boleh tahan?.

Kamu sama sekali tidak menyedari bahawa kamu tidak pandai bertrading, kamu tetap mengira kamu boleh bertrading walaupun semua fakta berkata sebaliknya ( apakah bulan ini profit?, bulan lepas profit?, tahun ini profit? .

Kamu tetap mengira bahawa kamu adalah orang yang special, orang yang akan mampu mendapatkan kunci kekayaan dari trading. Dan kamu tidak menyedari bahwa 90% trader yang gagal juga mempunyai perasaan seperti itu. Kamu tidak mempunyai sistem yang complete, kamu dikuasai oleh emosi kamu, kamu selalu averaging posisi jika loss kerana kamu “ANGER” pada market, kamu selalu take profit dalam jumlah yang kecil atau membiarkan profit berubah jadi loss kerana kamu dikuasai oleh “GREED”, kamu tidak pernah trading kerana kamu takut / “FEAR”. Kamu membiarkan diri kamu dikuasai oleh emosi sehingga margin equity kamu menderita.

90% orang yang trading hanya sampai pada level ini, mereka biasanya kapok, berhenti trading dan menganggap ini semua hanya mimpi buruk belaka, sebahagian lagi moralnya jatuh, mereka tetap mencari investor dan trading seperti orang gila, dalam sebulan atau dua bulan margin habis lalu mereka mencari mangsa lagi.

Mereka masih mengaku sebagai trader namun sebenarnya mereka “executor”.

90% Trader ada di level ini, dan hanya 10% sedar dan pindah ke level 2.

Trader Level 2

Level 2 - Conscious Incompetence

Di level ini kamu sedar bahawa kamu tidak boleh bertrading, kamu tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk trading yang menghasilkan profit secara konsisten. Dan kamu tahu penyelesaianya, kamu sedar bahawa selama di level 1 fikiran kamu dikaburkan oleh emosi kamu sehingga kamu tidak boleh berfikir secara nyata.

Di level ini kamu akan mencari holy grail ( ssstem yang sempurna, ssstem yang 100% profit, sistem yang tidak pernah loss), kamu mulai membeli sistem yang ada di internet, kamu membaca semua website yang ada tentang trading mulai dari UK, USA, Australia, Europe sampai Russia, kamu baca semua ebook yang ada, kamu praktiskan semua sistem yang kamu perolehi, kamu haus akan ilmu seperti seorang pengembara di padang pasir yang haus akan air minum.

Pada level ini kamu akan membaca semua detail tentang indicator, kamu akan test semua indicator yang ada di metatrader, bahkan kamu mungkin akan membuat indicator sendiri ( biasanya gabungan 2 atau 3 indicator), kamu akan bermain-main dengan moving average, fibonnacci lines, pivot point, camarilla pivot, deMark, Fractals, Divergence, DMI. ADX, Bollinger Bands, dan ratusan indicator lainnya.

Kamu tahu bahawa market terlalu rumit untuk di analisa hanya dengan 1 indicator saja, kamu tahu kombinasi ideal dari masing-masing indicator. kamu tahu keunggulan indicator tersebut dan juga kelemahannya.

Kamu akan mencuba meneka TOP dan BOTTOM dari market dengan indicator tersebut. kamu akan bergabung dengan chat room trader dan menanyakan pertanyaan-pertanyaan bodoh pada trader senior. kerana kamu tahu kalau kamu tidak bertanya sekarang maka selamanya kamu tidak akan tahu.

Pada akhirnya di level ini kamu akan mendapatkan 5 sampai 10 sistem yang lengkap dan mencuba mencari sistem mana yang paling sesuai dengan kamu.

Dari 10% trader yang ada di level ini, hanya sekitar 7% yang berhasil pindah ke level 3.

Level 3 - The EUREKA Moment

Pada akhir level 2, kamu akhirnya menyedari pokok permasalahan bukan terletak di sistem. Kamu menyedari bahawa kamu boleh mendapat profit bahkan jika hanya menggunakan sistem yang simple seperti moving average saja tanpa ada indicator lain, jika kamu boleh mengawal emosi kamu dan money management yang benar.

Kamu mulai membaca buku tentang psikologi trading, dan mengidentifikasi dengan keraktor yang dijelaskan dalam buku itu. Akhirnya datanglah Level “Pencerahan”.

Level pencerahan ini membuat otak kamu menyedari satu hal yang penting, di dunia ini tidak ada seorang pun yang mampu membuat analisa yang tepat, apa yang akan terjadi pada market 30 minit, 1jam , 4jam kemudian.

Kamu mulai menguasai satu sistem trading dan memodifikasinya sehingga sesuai dengan keraktor kamu, dan mampu memberikan lebih banyak profit dibandingkan sistem yang asli.

Kamu mulai trading jika kamu tahu kebolehan untuk profit lebih besar daripada untuk loss, kamu hanya trading jika ada signal dari sistem kamu, kamu selalu menggunakan stoploss, kerana kamu tahu stoploss adalah dapat menjaga risiko semasa bertrading.

Ketika stoploss kamu kena, kamu tidak emosi kerana kamu tahu tak seorang pun boleh membuat analisa dengan tepat, dan itu bukan kesalahan kamu. Trading berikutnya akan meningkat kebolehan profitnya kerana kamu tahu sistem kamu itu sistem yang profit.

Kamu secara seketika menyedari bahwa dalam dunia trading hanya ada satu hal yang penting iaitu konsistensi pada sistem, psikologi trading dan money management kamu. Dan kedisiplinan kamu untuk melakukan trading apapun yang terjadi.

Kamu mempelajari tentang money management, 5% risk, dan hal lainnya. dan hal ini mengingatkan kamu 1 tahun yang lalu ketika ada yang memberi nasihat yang sama padamu dan kamu memilih untuk mengacuhkannya. ketika itu kamu memang belum siap namun sekarang kamu siap.

Di level pencerahan, otak kamu akan menerima bahawa kamu tidak boleh meramalkan pergerakan market, kerana memang tak seorang pun boleh berbuat begitu.

Dari 7% trader yang ada di level ini, hanya sekitar 5% yang berhasil maju ke level berikutnya.

Trader Level 4

Level 4 - Conscious Competence

Okey, Sekarang kamu hanya trading jika dan hanya jika sistem kamu memberi signal.

Kamu cut loss sama banyaknya dengan take profit. kerana kamu tahu sistem kamu akan lebih banyak memberikan profit daripada loss, dan cut loss yang kamu lakukan adalah “risk management” iaitu max 2% dari account kamu.

Di level ini kamu mulai target dengan profit 20 point per hari, dan setelah kamu mampu melakukannya secara konsisten selama beberapa minggu, kamu meningkatkan target dengan 40 point per hari. Dan hal itu pada akhirnya mampu kamu lakukan.

Kamu memang masih harus kerja keras untuk mendapatkannya, memperbaiki sistem kamu, menguasai emosi kamu, dan melaksanakan money management yang kamu pegang.

Level ini biasanya berjalan sekitar 6 bulan.

Dari 5% trader hanya sekitar 3% yang sanggup maju ke level berikutnya.

Trader Level 5

Level 5 - Unconscious Competence

Nah sekarang kamu sampai di level 5, ini adalah level yang paling diharapkan oleh seluruh trader di dunia ini, di level ini kamu boleh trading secara bebas, kamu telah menguasai semuanya, kamu boleh “Dancing with the Market”, kemanapun arah market pergi, kamu telah open di posisi yang benar, jadi kamu tinggal melihat profit kamu bergerak dari 2 digit ke 3 digit.

Inilah level puncak dari seorang trader, inilah level “utopia”, kamu telah menguasai emosi kamu dan kini kamu trading dengan account yang terus membesar tiap-tiap hari, dari kumulatif profit yang kamu perolehi.

Kamu akan jadi bintang di trading chat room, dan orang-orang akan mendengarkan apa yang kamu katakan, kamu tahu dengan pertanyaan mereka, kerana kamu ada diposisi mereka 2 tahun yang lalu.

Kamu akan memberikan nasihat kepada mereka, namun kamu tahu bahwa kebanyakan dari mereka tidak akan mendengarkannya kerana mereka masih trader level 1.

Kamu tidak akan mempunyai masalah financial lagi, kamu mampu membeli semua benda yang tersedia untuk dijual, kamu boleh membeli pulau dan trading disana asalkan ada jaringan internet, kamu boleh pindah ke hotel 5 bintang , dan menjadi penghuni tetap disana.
